The Art of Larry Ferguson

Larry Ferguson is a native of the Northwest. Born at his grandmother’s place near Colton, WA, he grew up in Lewiston, Idaho and is a graduate of Lewiston High School. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Idaho, and his MA and MFA degrees from the University of Iowa.

His first love has always been watercolor and he is currently exploring a more expressive style in his watercolor works. He taught art at Dakota State College, Madison, South Dakota, for 6 years, and at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, for four years, before moving to Clarkston, Washington in 1978.

He continues to teach various art courses through the Valley Art Center. Having exhibited widely, his work is in public and private collections in 18 states and in Europe.
